The New Zealand Food Composition Database contains information on the nutrient content of over 2600 foods commonly prepared and eaten in New Zealand. The nutrient measures for each food include:
fats
carbohydrates
protein
minerals
vitamins
fibre
density
energy content (calories and kilojoules)
Food and nutrient data are available for a range of uses including dietary assessment, nutrition surveys and research, development of nutrition policies and guidelines, product analyses and labelling, and nutrition claims.
Information from the database is available in various forms. For
example, users have access to nutrient data for more than 2650
foods in FOODfiles.

Edition of the Concise New Zealand Food Composition Tables
is available as a pdf document.
A hard copy of the 7th
Edition can be purchased from Plant & Food Research.
The New Zealand
Institute for Plant & Food Research Limited and the Ministry of Health
jointly own and fund the New Zealand Food Composition
Database. Staff at Plant & Food Research manage and maintain the
database.
