NZ Food Composition Database products

New Zealand Food Composition Database products

FOODfiles is a subset of the New Zealand Food Composition Database containing over 2600 foods and 48 nutrients and is ideal for integration into existing database management systems or other data manipulation software. The Concise New Zealand Food Composition Tables provides printed information for 900 commonly consumed foods on 28 nutrients and is ideal for quick reference. To view the foods and nutrients included in the latest edition please click the underlined link above.

Information for the food industry
The Nutrition Information Panel Database is available free and is designed to assist food manufacturers in preparing nutrition information panels for their products. It contains seven core nutrients for more than 2600 foods.

Dietary assessment software
Both Foodworks and SERVE-NZ incorporate data from the New Zealand Food Composition Database in a nutrient analysis software programme. These programmes can be used in various settings including dietetic practice, food service, nutrition research and education.
