Finalists in the MacDiarmid Young Scientists of the Year Awards Three students undertaking their studies in association with Crop & Food Research took part in this year’s MacDiarmid Young Scientists of the Year Awards, run by the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology. Those taking part were Douglas Rosendale, Jon Stanger, and Nick Albert. The awards are run annually by the Foundation and this year attracted a record 141 entries from young scientists throughout the country. The competition is open to all postgraduates undertaking research and postdoctoral researchers who have held a PhD for less than five years. “The exposure these awards give our young scientists to their peers around the country, and the experience it gives them in being able to enthusiastically communicate their science, is fantastic,” Mr Ward says. “We’re very proud to sponsor these annual awards and be involved in celebrating the achievements of great young scientists.” For more information please contact: Crop & Food Research Tel: + 64 3 325 6400 |
