Staff benefits and awards

Crop & Food research is committed to motivating and encouraging staff to perform to the best of their ability. Staff training and career development are an integral part of Crop & Food Research. In addition, attendance at national and international conferences is encouraged and expected. Some of the benefits and awards available to Crop & Food Research are listed below.

  • Crop & Food Research Fellowships are available for staff to gain new skills, ideas and contacts. The Fellowship scheme provides for a two to six-month period of leave whilst covering staff members' work commitments during their absence
  • Study leave may be granted to complete a certificate, diploma, degree, postgraduate qualification or other basic course appropriate to their career development.
  • The Eureka Fund, designed to foster a culture of discovery and innovation, is awarded monthly to fund the further development of "bright ideas".
